4. Sharing Your Information

We share your enquiry details (name, email, phone, property interest) with real estate agents who service your selected suburb. We will not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share aggregated, de-identified data for market analysis purposes.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase infrastructure located in Sydney, Australia (australia-southeast1). We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), authenticated access controls, and role-based data permissions.

6. Cookies and Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our site. This involves cookies that collect anonymous browsing data. You can disable cookies in your browser settings.

We also use Microsoft Clarity for session recording and heatmap analysis. Clarity may collect mouse movements, clicks, and page interactions. We have configured Clarity to mask all form input fields. You can opt out at privacy.microsoft.com.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to: access the personal information we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate information, request deletion of your information, opt out of marketing communications, and lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

8. Data Retention

We retain different types of data for different periods:

Seller enquiry leads (name, email, phone, property interest): retained for 24 months from submission date, then automatically archived and de-identified. Active leads shared with agents are retained for the duration of the agent relationship.

Price alert subscriptions (email, suburb preferences): retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.

PDF report downloads (name, email): retained for 12 months from download date.

Quiz and browsing data (property preferences, suburb selections): retained in anonymised form for 36 months for market analysis. This data is not linked to your identity unless you subsequently submit a contact form.

Agent portal accounts: retained for the duration of the agent's subscription. Upon account closure, personal data is deleted within 30 days. Submitted sales data (property addresses and prices) is retained as public record.

You may request early deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us. We will process deletion requests within 30 days as required by the Australian Privacy Act 1988.

While we require agents to submit accurate information and review submissions before publishing, we cannot independently verify every transaction and some entries may be incomplete or subsequently superseded by adjusted settlement terms.

Market insights, agent statistics, price estimates and suburb trends are derived from this agent-submitted data plus the Home Worth Quiz. They are provided for general informational purposes only. Do not rely solely on information from this site when making property, legal, valuation or financial decisions. For definitive records, obtain an official title search or contact the Queensland Valuation & Sales (QVAS) service. You agree not to: use automated tools to scrape or harvest data from this site, submit false or misleading information, attempt to access restricted areas of the site, or use the site for any unlawful purpose.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SoldForWhat and its operators are not liable for any loss, damage, or expense arising from your use of this site, including but not limited to reliance on data displayed, interactions with agents, or property decisions influenced by our content.
