SoldForWhat?

SoldForWhat Pty Ltd (ACN 697 151 170) is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

1. What we collect

When you create an account and play the daily game we collect the display name you choose, your email address, and your game results (scores, streaks, guesses).

We also collect site-usage data — page views, interactions and session recordings via Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity — to improve the game. These load only if you accept our cookie banner.

2. How we use it

To run the daily game and leaderboard, identify your account, send account emails (such as email verification), and improve the site. Your display name appears publicly on the leaderboard; your email address is never published.

3. Sharing

We do not sell your information and we do not share it with real estate agents. We use trusted providers to operate the platform — Google Firebase (hosting, authentication and database, in Sydney) and Brevo (email) — only as needed to run the game. We may share aggregated, de-identified data for analysis.

4. Cookies and analytics

Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity (a session-recording tool) load only if you accept our cookie banner — if you decline, or haven't accepted, neither one runs. Clarity masks all form input fields. To withdraw consent later, clear this site's cookies and choose No thanks when the banner reappears. Clarity is provided by Microsoft (see privacy.microsoft.com).

5. Your rights and retention

You can access, correct or delete the personal information we hold, opt out of marketing, and lodge a complaint with the OAIC at oaic.gov.au. Account and game data is kept while your account is active; we action deletion requests within 30 days.

By using SoldForWhat (the "Platform"), operated by SoldForWhat Pty Ltd (ACN 697 151 170), you agree to these Terms.

1. What the Platform does

SoldForWhat is a Toowoomba daily price-guessing game — each day we feature a real local property and reveal its sold price after you guess. Sold-price data is submitted by local selling agents — it is not sourced from official Queensland Title or Valuation Office records, and we cannot independently verify every transaction. Treat the data as informational only.

2. Not financial or legal advice

Nothing on this site constitutes financial, legal or real estate advice. SoldForWhat is an informational game, not a licensed real estate agency, financial advisor or legal service. Always obtain independent professional advice before making property, legal or financial decisions.

3. Accounts and leaderboard

You can play without an account. You may create a free account to appear on the leaderboard and track your stats — choose a display name that isn't offensive and doesn't impersonate anyone. We may remove display names or leaderboard entries that are offensive, fraudulent or automated.

4. Intellectual property

The Platform's design, code and branding are owned by SoldForWhat Pty Ltd. Bare sale facts (price, address, date) are public information; otherwise you may not reproduce, distribute or create derivative works from our content without written permission.

5. User conduct

You agree not to: use automated tools to scrape or harvest data, submit false or misleading information, attempt to access restricted areas of the site, or use the site for any unlawful purpose.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SoldForWhat Pty Ltd is not liable for any loss, damage or expense arising from your use of this site, including reliance on data displayed. Nothing in these terms excludes rights under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.

7. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
